Better Yoga and Race Registrations

I started my day off with almost skipping my yoga...Doodle woke up early and wanted snuggles and I thought today was a 36 min workout.  But once I got her settled again and checked to discover it was a 22 min workout - I hit the mat and flowed my way through a much more comfortably paced morning sequence. Loved it.  The instructor on the day 3 video was really soothing to listen to and the pace and positions were about right for my abilities right now.  I made the right choice by adjusting.

and then I came to work and got the email from Color Me Rad saying Calgary registration had opened!  And that if I register by Friday - it is only $30!   Consider that done.

I'm super excited about this race.  You might recall that last year, before Calgary was postponed, I had partnered with them for my first ever giveaway.  BTW - if you were one of my Calgary winners - the cards you won will still work!  (Amy tested it this morning when she registered)

I'm in the first wave so if you want to join me - I'd love to see you there!  I'm also really excited that this is at Canada Olympic Park!  I've never run a race at COP but have been dying to.  Wonder if that means I'll need to wear my new trail shoes???

  1. Just an addition to the Color Me Rad registration-when the event didn't end up happening last year, i emailed them and i think they extended the date for my free entry. So if it doesn't work-definitely email them :)

    1. yes - when I asked my contact last year he told me that if any of you had issues using it when the race was rescheduled that we could contact him and he would ensure the numbers remained valid.

  2. I'd probably wear old shoes if I were you. The color blows off but if it gets wet it can start to set a little so I'd wear an old pair. Also, the CMR isn't exactly a run. It's more of a "run around". People ran back and forth through the color bombs over and over again. You could wear flip flops and walk if you really wanted to! This truly is a FUN run!

    1. Good tips!My new trail shoes are black so I'm not too concerned if they get colour on them - I'm more concerned about traction if this is on the trails at COP. I can't wait until they release the course map.

and this one is purely for colour! I actually read a blog post of someone who ran it with a canvas so they could frame the colour for their house. Love that idea
