Harvest Half on September 29. I've been thinking for a while that I would really like Goofy to be my 10th half marathon but that meant that I was going to need one more between now and then. Luckily, I also need to get in a 21k run around this time so with a little shift in my training plan I was able to work it in!
Speaking of training plans...due to this ridiculous heatwave right now, I missed my run last night. Ok - I can't say "missed"..I skipped it in exchange for a strength workout and had the intention to run the 4.5k at 4am this morning...which didn't happen because I woke up at 3:30 am with Doodle and then spent a half hour looking at the window and asking myself over and over whether my headlamp was charged because it was awfully dark to be running up a highway without it.
Opting for safety, I missed the 4am call...but I intend to get it in tonight. I want to miss as few weekday runs as possible this training cycle.
