Speaking of the article - it was definitely not in today's paper. I'm thinking it will probably be in tomorrow's edition to ramp up excitement before the events this weekend.
2) I did my first hill training session on the treadmill last night. What a workout! I went in with the idea that i would wing it...warmed up for half a kilometre then bumped it up to 6% incline and ran for half a km. Lowered it back down and recovered for half a km then lather, rinse, repeat a couple more times.
My butt is so sore today.
3) I am being a very good girl with my diet this week. No major pig-outs. The hummus container in the fridge is still full (instead of wiped out in 2 snacks - really this is the true measure of my restraint). The key thing is that I am focusing on the prize. I am starting to read one of the books from my nutrition counseling package. It said I should write my goals down and post them so I did. This is what I wrote:
I will reach my goal weight by May 1, 2012 by watching my portions and cutting out excessive snacking.
I know. Fairly obvious. I just need to up my awareness. But do-able. For the next 2.5 months - this is me:
The thing is - I really want it. I've always really wanted it...but right now I am getting tired of saying it's taken me over 2 years to get here. To be living through my setbacks. I'm really trying to build better habits and it is my hope that I can maintain them once they are habits. Hey - it worked for me and exercise, right?
