Well, I didn't do toooo terribly with sticking to my plan today. I will admit that I did cave and buy a latte. I had a raging caffiene headache that was probably enhanced by the stupid lights in my new office. The latte did the trick to kill most of it. I am going to try to wean off coffee by the end of the week. I was doing so well after my stomach flu, but since Saturday, I've managed to kill all that progress with a daily cuppa. I also managed to drink a few more calories in a protien shake after TRX class...but I think my body needed it because it worked so hard...more later...
My eating was almost stellar, though. I was hungry a great deal of the time, but I know that once my stomach starts to shrink a bit, I'll be fine. It's just the first few days that really suck in that regard.
Tonight I did my first TRX class at the gym in Langdon. It's a TRX boot camp and I went into it not really knowing what to expect. I actually really enjoyed the workout. Having a real live person orient me with the system was probably my best fitness idea ever. Well, close anyway. The instructor geared tonight's class at giving me a thorough orientation so I could make up my mind. By the time the 45 mins were up, I don't think there was a single muscle in my body that wasn't quaking. Tomorrow could be interesting.
My goal for the month, though, is to go once a week and see if I actually like the TRX system. If I do - then I will just buy one for at home...the cost of the system is really just the same as 4 months at the gym. I reserve the right to retract that thought though if I find I am really benefiting from the live class. I signed up to take a class every Wednesday in June. Plus - this gets me some dedicated strength in my weekly routine so I am just going to roll with it and see where it takes me.
I am feeling pretty good about June so far. One month isn't that long and surely I can stick with a plan for that long.
