Despite the heavy snowfall warning, I was still up at 6:30 this morning and getting ready to head into the city to run my scheduled 10K. Our driveway was swirling mass of 1-3 foot snowdrifts...and then I remembered that hubby had a hair appointment and had generously offered to take the twins in their stroller so I wouldn't have to miss my weekly escape. There was no way he was ever going to get the stroller out of the driveway, let alone halfway across town (Langdon is SUPER small. No residential plowing and hardly anyone is diligent with the shoveling of sidewalks). So I went upstairs and whispered to him that I was canceling my run today and would make it up tomorrow. And then I headed out to shovel the ocean of whiteness that is our 100 foot long driveway (I'm not kidding..it really is that long).
I'm just glad it was powdery snow and not that heavy wet crap...it was still quite the workout, though. The snow is still falling out there, but I will definitely be running tomorrow! (even if I have to get up at 5am to shovel the car out)
